A Motivational Speaker/Community Activist and widely acclaimed television Host/Actress/Producer, Barbara Riddick, more commonly known as Basha to the public, has been working to empower communities everywhere. With her own self titled television show, which now airs in over seven different languages globally, Basha can always be seen on the move, steady trying to find something else to do that would heal the world. A motherly figure at heart, Basha's interests span generations. Working with females & males of the course of being a Social Worker for years young teens and adolescence, her message of self-confidence and empowerment is genuine and quite effective. Older women flock to her as well, asking for her advice and calling her telephone as much as they can to hear her comforting words of encouragement.

An advocate and activist of the community, Basha is one tough cookie. She works with individuals regardless of race, religion or lack there of. Speaking on topics from domestic violence, sex, relationships, entrepreneurship, respect, to that of moralities and principalities, Basha's audience tunes in and like sponges to water, absorb her presence and revered demeanor.

Having the experience of the NYPD and as a social worker, the ties and relation she has to the people of New York are great. Being associated with the ABC Network, Avon, and Revlon gave her the "inside scoop" on the who's who of show business and the know how to navigate her way through the industry. Multitalented and versatile on many levels, Basha was featured in various big screen movies and hosted numerous televison show formats. Given the title of Empowerment Specialist, it is clear that she will be around for a very, very long time.

In addition she founded and host the Annual Brooklyn "I LOVE TO READ MULTI-CULTURAL BOOK FAIR with Dominick Carter Senior Political Anchor of NY 2 News/ Author as her first headliner with his book "No Mama Boy No More"
